The Rhum distillery of Clément at the Habitation Acajou in Martinique

January 23, 2008 - Permalink - No comments

The "Habitation Acajou" was a country estate house on the Island of Martinique, built in the 18th century. In 1887 Homére Clément bought it and turned it into a Rhum distillery, one of the first in Martinique to produce white country rhum on the island. Nowadays, a large part of the estate is turned into a beautiful museum.
