Grand Teton National Park - Wyoming - United States - part 1

November 14, 2007 - Permalink - No comments

A couple of years ago we had a week off and sheduled a trip to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.

Our international flight went to Denver. From there on we had a regular flight in a small plane to Jackson Hole, where our rented car was ready to be picked up.

Jackson Hole, was a nice place to stay overnight and is probably the best gateway to Grand Teton National Park.

The weather was nice (blue skies) so Grand Teton was fantastic to enjoy.

We did a couple of walks from 2 tot 4 hours and enjoyed the scenery and especially the wildlife.

Beautiful birds, deer, moose, chipmunks, otters, etc etc - wildlife in abundance.

We travelled in the second half of September. During the daytime the temperature was pretty warm, but with an open sky at night everything cooled down under zero centigrade.

Belive me, Grand Teton National Park is one of the finest National Parks in the US.

Hope you agree.
